The Casa Friends: Justiceworx Wk1, Day 5

Today was another great day for us. I can't believe how quickly these people who I just met a week ago are becoming my good friends. It's crazy how that happens so quickly. We hung out this morning in the casa and planned out some of the evening's activities. I was Alex Trebek tonight, the only catch was that underneath my suit I was wearing a superman costume. It was a sweet exit after Justiceworx Jeopardy. The Jeopardy piece went pretty well, though it was tough. The kids got really into it and screamed incredibly loud to be heard. It was a huge wall of sound when they buzzed in because they all wanted to win so badly. Everybody came up to me after the game and asked "how were you able to do that?" Takes practice, I suppose.

We decided that since Saturday's a bit different than the rest of the week, we'd be going to the Seminary around 10. This'll give us a good amount of time to get ready and wake up haha. This week I've been waking up around 10! It's really a miracle that I"m sleeping that late. Then again, I'm also staying up late so it evens itself out. Probably from writing on this thing every night.

The closing prayer service had the same feeling as last years. The kids, even though they had a different experience than previous years, seemed somber as we ended the week out with a final theme song. This week was very different than I had ever seen as a participant or as a leader. That's what happens when we're on our own, I suppose. WE have to adapt to our new surroundings and make best of what we're given.

I hope the kids got a lot out of the week. We gave them time to plan out initiatives that they could impliment in school. There were some really really good ideas and I hope that the kids really do what they say they'll do. Only time will tell though.

Time for bed. I hope you all have a wonderful tomorrow!
